The grounds at American Classic Storage are well-maintained and there is no question that this is a very secure storage facility. At one point I had visited my unit and put the lock in the wrong slot on the door, leaving it unlocked. Within a few hours of leaving, the manager notified me that our unit wasn't properly secured. I was impressed that they physically checked the units and didn't solely rely on a security camera. The local manager is always very professional and courteous. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

My family has been using American Classic Storage for a long time and we have had no problems at all. They are very kind and caring and made any adjustments when necessary. Storage spaces are clean. The facility is in a convenient area, just off Jefferson Ave.
This is definitely the place to go when you want to have a peace of mind knowing your properties are safe.

Staff is friendly, honest, genuine, and hard working. I feel confident with my belongings under their care. Units are clean and easy to access. Several options to choose from. Secure facility. Make sure you do not allow anyone to come in under your code as you're entering. No matter how much they beg. They will be stuck and dependent upon you to then get out. Just be careful with your belongings in the ones without temp control. The units are all metal and the humidity is horrible here. Damp-Rid in the unit helps, but you're also drawing water from the surrounding air since the units aren't completely sealed; silica packs in your tubs and boxes are highly recommended. Bring water to drink if you're going to be there awhile, especially in this summer heat!

My experience with management and staff was excellent. Manager was timely , thorough and detailed with my self storage agreement. The use of truck at the storage location was of a great help. The management and staff was kind, courteous and went above and beyond. The tour of the self storage units at the location showed that they are clean, secure and well maintained. Katherine was awesome. I made a reservation online and met her within the hour for her to show me the unit. The facility was clean and accessible. She was very real and upfront with me when I had questions. She has everything you need from locks to furniture covers. I ended up not needing the unit and she was able to refund me that day.

Service at American Classic Self Storage - Oyster Point was absolutely amazing! Katherine Hicks went above and beyond to ensure that my belongings were safe in a storage unit while myself and family went out of town. Since we showed up to our unit after hours due to many complications throughout the day, Katherine Hicks personally gave us access to the lot and opened our unit for us even though access to the lot had been secured an hour or so beforehand. Im military, specifically Navy, and for those of you guys and gals serving our country and moving to Newport News, VA, I highly recommend utilizing American Classic Self Storage - Oyster Point to store your goods if thats something you need. May I add that the prices are very affordable and that the lot is really clean and in a great location. Thank you Katherine for your hospitality and treating myself and my family so well!

I rented a storage facility for a car and could not have been happier. The facility was clean the area secure and best of all the service. katharine was unbelievably helpful from the moment I arranged the storage on the phone until the moment I took possession of the garage we rented. She made the process effortless and the follow through was even more amazing to make sure we were satisfied. I would drive out of my way to use this facility they were that good.

The storage units are very clean and well maintained. I also liked how secure the property is, it makes me feel good about storing my items. American Classic Self Storage off Bell King road is an amazing facility. The branch manager is an incredible person dedicated to getting you what you need for a great price. They have a truck you can use to move into their units as well. I had a 5x5 unit non-climate controlled that was clean and dry. There was never any evidence of rodents or moisture in my unit. It has competitive pricing and is very central to several apartment complexes. I would recommend this place if you need a great place to store your stuff!

This was the absolute best storage facility that I've ever used. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. While signing the agreement, she answered any and all questions I had. The facility itself is so incredibly secure I never once was worried about my stuff being stored at this location. In addition to the discounts for being a student, they also offer a free to rent move in truck that was incredibly useful.

We have used this storage facility in the past and was very satisfied then, and we are more satisfied now. Customer service is the first thing that you notice. Very friendly and courteous, namely Katharine Hicks, the facility manager. My paperwork and unit was ready when I arrived due to me calling ahead and her being very proficient. You can tell that this company takes pride in their facility and making it a cut above the rest.

I was in the market for a new storage facility to store a lot of my photography and lighting gear. I had to get out of the last "public storage" facility because it was absolutely disgusting. Everytime I had to get something out of it or put something into it, the dust mounds got higher, the cobwebs got thicker, and the bug population grew larger. I found American Classic Self Storage in Oyster Point via a Google search. I called spoke with Katharine. She was AMAZING. She not only answered all of my questions and concerns on the phone, but she offered to stay late to show me the units they had available and how they differed from their competitors. Their units were a lot cleaner than what I was used to, but to be honest, Katharine's level of service and her genuine enthusiasm and warmth was what won me over. She was an extreme pleasure to work with.

I have been a customer for several years. Unfortunately in 2016 the management changed. The transition was bumpy and even still after almost of year at the helm they don't seem to have it together. Fulfilling reasonable requests is a challenge for them (Katharine and James Hicks). I find myself truly missing the old management..they were much more customer oriented.

I just wanted to take the time to comment on this business, first the units were extremely clean, available as promised on the phone(the other people lied to me at all 3 other storage places), they have the best value for your money!! Not to mention, the first MONTH IS FREE!!!!!
But mostly, dealing with Katherine is a delight and a pleasure. She is professional at all times, she is prompt, but most all she does what she says that going to do. Her word means something, and that means EVERYTHING to me!!!! I would drive 20 extra miles and past 10 self storage places to get to HER and American Classic!!

Had the most incredible experience At America Classic Storage.
Had to change plans and possibly storage size a couple of times. Most people would been frustrated with me but I have to say Kate was very patient and understanding with me. The facilities are way nicer and better kept then your local competitors. I plan to recommend your friend for their storage needs.
